Life span if cared for correctly your gargoyle gecko can live 15 to 20 years

Max size Gargoyle Geckos can reach up to 7-9" as adults including the tail

Diet Complete diet or a mix of insects dusted with vitamin and mineral additives together with pureed fruits such as banana, (Repashy & Pangea are a well-known brand of complete diet). Spray the enclosure daily as this will encourage your gecko to drink.

Day temperature 25-27C

Night temperature 18-22C

Humidity Gargoyle geckos need a high humidity environment of 60-80%

Housing normally made from glass with good ventilation the minimum size should be 45x45x60cm 

Decor Plenty of vines & plants to climb on as they do not spend much time on the ground 

Substrate Bark Chips, coconut fibre, forest terrain or cage carpet are all suitable. Also purchase a hygrometer for measuring humidity levels. 

Supplements A good vitamin/mineral supplement is essential with calcium and vitamin D3. Liquid calcium can also be added to any drinking water for additional calcium

Health Can be prone to metabolic bone disease (MBD)

Compatibility Gargoyle geckos are happy living alone, however there should be no more than 1 male in a group of Gargoyle geckos. 

Sexing Males have femoral pores on the underside of their thighs in a V shape. Females generally lack these pores. Males show two hemipenal bulges on the base of their tails. Females do not have 2 hemipenal bulges at the base of their tails.

Breeding Female gargoyle geckos bury their eggs in the substrate, usually 2 per clutch. Hatchling gargoyle geckos emerge from the egg at roughly 60 to 90 days. Gargoyle gecko eggs should be incubated between 22-28C
